Students in Mrs. Maurer's Learning Support Class at Taylor Elementary School created its own McDonald's store, courtesy of the Columbia McDonald's. The store was designed to increase memory skills; reading skills; math concepts such as small, medium, and large, as well as money skills. Each child got the chance to be a waiter or waitress and had to build up the ability to remember an order of two, three, then four items by size, sandwich, and meal.
