Attention Parents/Caregivers: In an effort to promote safety in our schools, the Columbia Borough School District will be conducting active intruder drills at all three buildings this week. These drills will allow our students and staff to practice safety procedures while also helping our district to become safer through the knowledge gained and areas for improvement we identify each time a drill is done. While the drill will have set simulations at each building, we will not be utilizing any simulated weapons or weapon sounds for the drill. Once the drill concludes, students and staff will return to the building from our rally (safe) points. As part of this drill, we will ask that parents and guardians not come to the building to pick-up students during this time. Prior to our active intruder drill, staff will discuss school safety with students, including the details of the armed intruder drill. If you have any questions, please contact the building.
Creator Camp is coming! Parents, we will be running Creator Camp from June 7-10 for students in Grades 5-8. This camp will have STEM/Science pods run by Mrs. Baker and Mr. McBride, and we will also be running to pods from SNAPOLOGY on Robotics and LEGO Amusement Park Ride Building. Applications will be sent home tomorrow. Only 12 campers can participate per pod, so please bring the applications back as soon as possible. If you have any questions, please contact the school.

Columbia Middle School (Grades 5-8) welcomes students back to five days a week in person learning tomorrow, Monday, March 15. We are excited to see everyone together again tomorrow!

We will be having an early dismissal this Friday, March 5 to prepare for students returning five days per week. Finally, Dr. Parkinson will be holding a Parent Night on March 10 at 6pm to review attendance and safety information and answer questions about students returning five days per week. A Snow Emergency will be in effect in the Borough of Columbia beginning at 1:00 A.M., Thursday, February 18, 2021. The Snow Emergency will remain in effect until further notice. The Snow Emergency will be to facilitate clean-up efforts in the Borough. Please see attached letter for details.
