A message from the Board of School Directors of the Columbia Borough School District:
The CBSD Board of Directors is saddened by the recent comments made by Mayor Lutz regarding the school district in what seems to be yet another attempt to further divide our community. While we are unable to comment on the inaccuracies in Mayor Lutz’s letter to the editor, as this is a legal matter, we believe the road forward requires unity and look forward to working alongside the mayor for the betterment of our community. In the meantime, our focus remains on improving outcomes for our students.

Reminder: Thursday, October 28 there is an early dismissal for students at 11:30 am and Friday, October 29 there is no school. Classes will resume on Monday, November 1.

High School students took a trip Friday to downtown Lancaster. Students learned how to use public transportation, about available employment opportunities and recreational activities. A trip to Central Market was a welcomed bonus to the day.

Throughout last week, Attollo students had an opportunity to reflect upon their personal identity through prompted questions and a slideshow they presented to their peers. They also spent time discussing what setbacks they have encountered and their solutions for moving past them. A major highlight of the week was the reflective hike on Wednesday morning, where they shared their stories.
