Columbia Borough School District Health & Safety Plan already requires all students, teachers, staff, and visitors to wear masks when inside school buildings. On August 31, 2021, the Department of Health mandated universal indoor masking across Pennsylvania school facilities. However, beginning Tuesday, September 7, 2021, the only change outlined in the order that impacts the Columbia Borough School District is masks are not required for students participating in sports practices/events when inside the building. Our athletes have been notified of the choice to mask during athletics.

Due to the anticipated rainfall and flooding from Hurricane IDA, the Columbia Borough School District will follow an early dismissal schedule tomorrow Wednesday, September 1, 2021. All schools will dismiss at 11:30 a.m. All after school activities and events on September 1 are canceled.

The Columbia Borough School District is a place where everyone is genuinely valued and welcomed.
