Dear Columbia Borough Community,
As we wrap up the third quarter, we wanted to share some reminders and address the rumors circulating on social media. This information was also shared with our families, in our April Newsletters, to support our students’ success during the final nine weeks of school.
The fourth quarter is filled with events and opportunities to celebrate our students and their achievements. We remain steadfast in our commitment to four main goals: (1) providing a strong foundation for early learners, (2) ensuring high achievement for all learners, (3) fostering a positive, supportive, and safe environment, and (4) preparing students for college, career, and life.
We value the partnership of our community as we work toward these ambitious goals. Visit our website www.columbiabsd.org for more information about our schools and if you have questions please contact the school principal or district administration center.
In recent weeks, there have been some rumors circulating on social media regarding bullying and related issues in our schools. Please know that we take this very seriously. If students or parents are concerned about bullying, we ask them to speak with school administration directly. This is the best course of action to make sure we can address concerns as efficiently and effectively as possible. For guidance on the best way to communicate your concerns, visit this link: https://www.columbiabsd.org/page/how-to-communicate-concerns.
We also want to make sure our families and community know that our district is governed by a set of board policies, available on our website.
Thank you for your continued support as we work to ensure a safe, welcoming, and positive learning environment for our students. Together, we are one community, one town, and one school district—committed to serving every student, every day.
With Tide Pride,
CBSD Administration
